Wirral Works Wonders. Tourism Film Released
1/17/2025
The Wirral in Merseyside – on the other side of the river to the city of Liverpool – was the subject of a fact-finding mission for the UK travel trade.
And part of
the excitement was to produce a high quality short film for the travel trade –
to help them plan their tours and excursions to this brilliant part of the
world. Here is the link: https://youtu.be/hJfmAJ5W-pw
The film,
now completed, is being distributed to coach and tour operators and group
travel organisers around the UK. It reflects some of the attractions, sights
and venues of the Wirral. The whole
occasion was filmed by Eastwood Media of North Wales.
Arranged by
Steve Reed Tourism Ltd and working closely with Visit Liverpool, Visit Wirral
and the Village Hotel and Spa in Bromborough, the two day event took in
attractions and venues around the Wirral. Featuring a showcase series of visits,
it also shone a light on the superb seaside resort of New Brighton.
Some of the
attendees made maximum use of their visit by calling into the Ness Botanic
Garden and the Mersey Ferries for a river trip.
Hosted at
the excellent Bromborough Village Hotel and Spa Hotel, the initiative welcomed
a number of coach and tour operators and GTOS from around the country. At the
hotel, Wirral attractions gathered together to meet the tour buyers in a face
to face business workshop. There they met representatives of Visit Wirral and
the coastal community cluster of tourism businesses. New Brighton itself
demonstrated that they have a great combination of traditional seaside
attractions and amusements including the excellent Floral Pavilion – right on
the seafront overlooking the dramatic Perch Rock Fort.
New Brighton
also has a number of emerging attractions for groups including a street art
trail, local crafts and eateries and – one to watch out for – a compelling
underground tunnel experience which will be looking to host guided group visits
in the future. Watch this space.
The group
also enjoyed a fascinating guided tour of Port Sunlight Village – for long a
popular and truly unique group destination.
‘We
were so glad to be asked to work in the Wirral and to be able to meet such an
amazing group of people. The tourism businesses there really made a top effort
for the tour planners and were able to show them some excellent attractions as
well as some up and coming potential tour products,' says Steve Reed of Steve Reed
Tourism Ltd.
