Tour Planners Visit Group Leisure and Travel Show at NEC.
Group travel
organisers from North Staffordshire enjoyed a special ‘reward day’ of showcase
visits and a trip to one of the UK’s top travel trade shows.
Robin Hood
Travel Ltd from Rudyard in Staffordshire took their group travel organisers to
the Group Leisure and Travel Show at the National Exhibition Centre [NEC] where
they met many of the attractions and hotels exhibiting there – and they enjoyed
the celebrity speakers including travel expert Simon Calder.
The GTOS
also met Wendy Hartley-Scarff, CEO of the Association of Group Travel
Organisers.
Arranged by
UK travel trade specialists Steve Reed Tourism Ltd of Hampshire, the tour
planners had a familiarisation visit to the popular English Heritage site
Kenilworth Castle and also took in the West Midland Safari Park in
Kidderminster.
Christine
Rose is a director of Robin Hood Travel:
‘Our GTOS
love to see and experience new attractions and destinations and found the
reward day to be extremely worthwhile. The Group Leisure Show was very
interesting and packed with all sorts of touring possibilities around the
country. And the visits to Kenilworth Castle and the West Midland Safari Park
gave the group some excellent ideas for their touring plans,’ says
Christine.
