Blackpool and Lakes Ready for ‘Sold Out’ Travel Trade Mission.

7/31/2023

Daish’s Holidays to Welcome Tour Planners.

The latest group showcase organised by national tour and hotel company Daish’s Holidays has sold out and the lucky attendees for the 17-21 September set piece are in for a treat.

The combination of a Blackpool hotel base with coach [and tram] trips around the resort coupled to a scenic fact-finding mission to the nearby Lake District has proved to be an unbeatable proposition for group travel organisers and coach and tour operators. In effect, a dream ticket for GTOS.

Coordinated by UK travel trade specialists Steve Reed Tourism, the event features visits to the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway; Windermere Lake Cruises; Wordsworth Grasmere Museum and Dove Cottage as well as the World of Beatrix Potter.

And the fifty attendees – from all over the UK – will take in a fun day of attraction visits around Blackpool which include Blackpool Sea Life Centre; Madame Tussauds; The Blackpool Ballroom and Tower Circus. The tour planners will also enjoy a spectacular Illuminations tour on board a double deck tram – courtesy of Blackpool Transport.

This is to be one of a series of high quality familiarisation visits set up by Daish’s Holidays. Over the years they have invited GTOS to sample their hotels [they have twelve hotels in ten resorts around the UK] and have on each occasion included an array of group friendly attractions and experience.

And for this trip, Daish’s are pleased to have had the support of a number of businesses and tourism bodies including Visit Blackpool, Blackpool Transport and Merlin Entertainments. A group of Lake District attractions have also come up trumps for the tour buyers including Windermere Lake Cruises; World of Beatrix Potter; the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway as well as Wordsworth Museum and Dove Cottage.

‘We’re looking forward to having the GTOS stay at our popular Daish’s Hotel Blackpool,’ says Martin Jenkins of Daish’s Holidays.

‘The location of the hotel, on the Northshore seafront, is ideal and the timing couldn’t better as the world famous Blackpool Illuminations will be in full flow by then. And of course the Lake District will look particularly beautiful in September when we will experience a number of wonderful attractions there. Thank you to all of the attractions and tourism sites that have provided visits for this highly enjoyable event.’

Daish’s Holidays have recently announced their Scarborough and North Yorkshire GTO Showcase for 7-11 April 2024. Bookings or enquiries can be made by emailing steve@stevereedtourism.co.uk

Ends.
