Tour Operators Invited to Sign Up for Hosted Event.
One of Great Britain’s top seaside resorts is to receive a special visit by the representatives of the UK travel trade.
One of Great Britain’s top seaside resorts is to
receive a special visit by the representatives of the UK travel trade.
With group bookings firmly in mind, the hosted buyer
showcase will take place in the beautiful seaside town of Southport on the
Northwest coast.
Arranged by Visit Southport in conjunction with travel
trade specialists Steve Reed Tourism Ltd from Hampshire, 23-25 September is the
date to note for tour planners keen for new ideas to fill coaches.
The delegates will be hosted by the Ramada Plaza Hotel
and will enjoy a fascinating tour of the many attractions on offer during their
showcase visit. Steve Christian is the Destination Development Manager for
Visit Southport:
‘Southport is full of surprises for groups and one
very good way for tour buyers to find out for themselves is to attend this hosted showcase
opportunity,’ explains Steve.
‘The town is a wonderful combination of traditional
and contemporary with much to delight groups of all types. We also have some of
the country’s best annual events which are attractive to coach parties – and
these include the Air Show, the Musical Fireworks, the Southport Flower Show
and the Food and Drink Festival to name just four.’
The group will visit a number of sites including the
Southport Pier and Tram; Formby Red Squirrel Reserve; The Atkinson Gallery and
Museum; WWT Martine Mere Wetland Centre; the Courtyard at Tarleton Outlet; Churchtown historic village and
Anthony Gormley’s Another Place
artworks on Crosby Beach. The attendees will also take in show ‘rounds of some
of Southport’s hotels.
